Have you guys caught the story of Annette Larkins? She’s 70 yrs old and looks AMAZING! She eats super clean foods and only drinks water and fresh juices. Check out the difference between her and her husband (who chose not to eat clean foods with her). It’s kinda insane. What an inspiration! Now you guys can understand why I believe nutrition is everything.
P.S. She started at 40...

Are Microwaves Really A Health Hazard? →
Anonymous asked: hey fran! i love your blog!!! i wanted to know which you think is better to use aloe vera juice or aloe vera gel. i haven't really wore my hair curly in a long time so i don't really know what kind of regimen i should use. i straighten my hair once every two weeks but i miss my curls. lol and if i use aloe vera juice or the gel would it go on first before my leave in conditioner or...
afrosandpeeptoes asked: Hey Fran!!! My hair is about your length but I have MANY strands which are very VERY short all over. I've been suspecting for a while that it's been my detangling method, no matter how gentle I think I'm being. Fingers first and all! I'm going to put the comb down and walk away!!! Hopefully I'm right, and it's not breakage :/ !!! Thanks a billion for the detangling...
Anonymous asked: Hey Fran. I asked about using coconut oil on the face. Thanks for getting back to me. Here are my updates: It's amazing! I used a small (fingernail size) amount on my face. Liquified coconut oil melts right into the skin. A little goes a long way. And if I use too much, I just blot the excess with some tissue paper. I now have an all natural product I am using from head to toe, for hair,...

8 Tips for Achieving Second Day Natural Hair →
Anonymous asked: I remember you once said that you drink I believe no less than 2 litters of water. I've tried to do that, but I hate having to keep getting up and trying to measure out how much water I hate to drink. I notice when I buy the 2 liter I drink it up in no time. Do you know where I can get a re-usable water bottle that can hold about 2 liters of water?
speakingmyownlanguage asked: Hey Fran! Have you ever had a time period where you were absolutely bored with you hair? I'm having that moment and I've no clue how to get out of it before I wind up damaging my curls. I'm 2 1/2 years natural, recently colored, and I just feel like I do the same ol' styles all the time. =/
Anonymous asked: hey fran! i have had scalp issues for years and have been using dandruff shampoo but that is wayyy drying which you know, i have tried natural remedies and even tried exfoliating with no avail. imjonesy asked: Hey Fran! Love the blog and excited about the new Youtube Channel. I stopped putting heat on my hair, my goal is to not put any until my Birthday (going to get my hair blown out end of April) my major issue is protecting my ends. I guess I'm paranoid about them getting shaggy or roughed up by wearing it curly and doing the braid outs at night and in general. Any suggestions on protecting my...
Anonymous asked: Hey Fran Hey! What do you think of mixing Shea Moisture Smoothie with Ecostyler gel? I tried it out and my hair looked like i can come out in public! My braid out was very defined and my hair wasn't crunchy. Haha! I didn't have time to co- wash it and it was a frizzy mess.
Anonymous asked: HFH! how do you feel about a grain free diet? is it too extreme?

Is Your Weight Weighing You Down? →
Anonymous asked: Dear Fran, Love the tumblr, love the hair. I was wondering about coconut oil. I use it on my hair, and it works great. I wanted to know if coconut oil is alright to use on the skin, especially the face. Will it cause breakouts? I have used jojoba, grapeseed, and argan oil on my face with good results. I have read that coconut oil is a great all natural sunblock and was wondering what you think.

Anonymous asked: Hey fran, I just moved to NYC and my job is super demanding and pays me poorly so I have almost no time, and definitely no money to join a gym, but I'm still trying to lose weight because I'm a model and I'm like 2 inches too big right now. What are some easy ways to sneak in some cardio? I've changed my diet because I know that will help, and I've been doing some of the...
Anonymous asked: Okay, so when I was younger, I had straight/wavy hair, but when I turned three, my mom decided to perm my hair. I stopped perming my hair about April 2010, and I cut off all my permed hair in August 2010. I was wondering if my hair will return back to its natural state or did the perm, damage my texture permanently? Also, does the curl pattern change with length?
