Q:Fran!! Stevia or Xylitol?? Everyone swears by one or the other and I haven't tried either, I stick to raw brown sugar or honey for sweeteners. I think I'm going to switch, so would you recommend either of these, and what do you use? -Thanks in advance, I adore your blog! :)
Hey :) Most health nuts use Stevia for drinks and Xylitol for food/baking. My only concern with Xylitol is that it’s a mild laxative until your body gets used to it. Keep that in mind! lol. I don’t use any sweeteners so I can’t give you any firsthand experience with either one! I’ve conditioned my body (by cutting off sugar for an entire month) to not need it. I hope that helps!
Also, read this post on Stevia. Mark is a super sincere and thorough health resource, in my opinion! Definitely bookmark his site if you ever have any doubts about an ingredient/product.
