Q:Heyfranhey, do you have any insight on overnight oats vs cooked oats? I know raw is always better. I heard there are less carbohydrates produced in overnight oats. Do you know pro/cons or benefits of both?
Hey :) Neither option is bad for you, as long as you’re not buying the kind in individual packs loaded with artificial ingredients and sugar! Raw oats are definitely better, in a nutritional value sense, because they carry all of the original vitamins and nutrients. Once cooked, the water and heat strip almost half away. However, raw oats take longer to digest! And they actually carry more carbs (almost double) than cooked oats. Both carry tons of protein, fiber and healthy carbs. You’re good to go, either way. Hope that helps <3
