I received an email from the Nike Training Club saying “Access Is Granted”. I was excited and…scared. Have any of you used the NTC app? Whew! It’s one thing to work out on your own with it and it’s a whole different ball game to be on Nike’s radar and trained by their actual instructors.
Long story short, I’ve been laying on my living room floor for the past hour. It was a high intensity workout that started with 30 min of boot-camp like total body conditioning followed by another 30 min of weight-based yoga. It was hard but I feel amazing for completing it! The Nike Ambassadors were all really energetic and nice! And made sure we had water and towels on deck at all times. We were given shots of wheat grass followed by smoothies to help our muscles recover right afterwards.
Thank you to our awesome trainers @noahdnieman and @karaliotta. They were tough on us but made sure to do it with love. And shouts to my fellow beasts @msporsche911 @hannah_rhee @vashtie @southernelle @hannahbronfman and @darlingchuck. Nike access is now granted. I’m ready!
For those who have hit me saying they don’t want to eat healthy or work out “too much” cause they’ll lose their curves. 1 Vegetarian and 2 Vegans ✊ #healthycurves
P.S. You don’t have to be a Vegetarian or a Vegan to eat healthy! The emphasis is “eat healthy”; however you choose to do so.
The night before the 5k in Kingston, Jamaica we came together for candlelight yoga, healthy food and a natural living chat/Q&A. The perfect way to connect and ease into our weekend of wellness events. There were a few concerns brought up about healthy living: natural hair not being embraced (I definitely experienced some crazy looks when I was in the Dominican Republic last week), lack of availability of hair products/salons, as well as healthy food being too expensive and not easily accessible.
Where do you live and are there similar obstacles?
