Kingston, Jamaica! Shall we do this?? Friday, October 25th we’re gonna clear our minds with some yoga followed by awesome healthy food, music, art and a long chat about all things natural living. Then on Saturday we come together yet again and run a 5k through the city. At night! Sounds magical :) I’m super excited! RSVP so I can meet you all! Info on the flyer. Which other city would be down to spend a super zen weekend with me?? Talk to me! Let’s keep pushing and motivating each other!
If you follow me on twitter you caught my story of TSA taking all of my hair products at the airport because I had a mind slip and packed them all in my carry on. Let me tell you, that agent was happy as hell. I know she came into work today with the bomb twist-out 😢. All good cause it made me have to run into the nearest Target and all I spotted on the shelf, with awesome ingredients, was the “Super Duper Hydrating Cream” by Karen’s Body Beautiful. An airport mistake turned into a dope new healthy beauty find! My new fav cream for my Diana Ross hair days.
Oil Cleansing Method Update! Going on almost 2 years now and I still swear by it. I cleanse my face with a dime-sized amount of 100% Pure Cold-Pressed (meaning no heat zapped out the nutrients) Almond Oil. The omega-3 fatty acids in the almonds help reduce acne, spots and inflammation, while also rejuvenating and healing the skin from the inside out. Rinse it off with warm water. Gently pat my skin dry with a clean and white wash cloth. Then I follow-up with Cucumber Aloe Vera Witch Hazel (Alcohol-free so you won’t feel stripped) as an all-natural astringent. Witch Hazel removes toxins, reduces blemishes and is amazing for under-eye puffiness. The cucumber and aloe give your skin that bright glow! I let my face air dry for a minute or so. I then add another dime-sized amount of the almond oil as a moisturizer. That’s it. All-natural, simple and affordable. Both bottles purchased at Whole Foods or on Amazon.com. I use this regimen twice a day. Do you use the Oil Cleansing Method? Which oil is your fav? If not, what’s your most reliable skin care regimen?

My baby cousin, Tiana. She is just too cute with all that hair! I should make her guest blog about her regimen. lol
Q:Hi HeyFranHey! I absolutely love you. You inspired me to make my own skin butter with my very own Ninja, which helped my newly developed eczema to disappear as fast as it came. Soon I will try some of your other DIY projects. Anyway, while watching your videos I'd realized you have some beautiful accessories and unique shirts. I was wondering, if you can tell me a few places I can go. I like the QuellyRue Designs website. Basically I love how unique your style is. Thank you for sharing.
Hey! I love you more <3
Happy to hear the Body Smoothie cleared your eczema! That’s so major! :) As far as clothing, I usually post a link of where to purchase (my tops) in the description box under each video! Most of my clothing is thrifted but my fav online stores are Nasty Gal, Anarchy Street, Threadsence, Free People and Need Supply. For shoes Solestruck. I also love Top Shop, Zara, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel…the usual suspects!
And check out my Small Business Saturday posts where I highlight my fav online funky and indie accessory finds <3
Didn’t get a chance to respond to those asking where the high-waisted jeans I wore in STL were from. American Apparel! (and Zara shoes). Jean shopping is very hit or miss (usually miss) when you have hips and a booty, so I dread it. But I took my chance at AA and these worked out (meaning no weirdness in the crotch area or huge open gap in the back 😑). My go-to brand is Adriano Goldschmied. They usually cost an arm and a leg but fit super well and last forever! For those of you with curves, what are your fav brands of jeans?
