Q:Hello Beautiful One! I wanted to ask how do you store your coconut oil to keep it liquid form because mine became solid due to the cold? And for face, i usually get blackheads on the right side of my face more chin/lip area and when i squeeze them they always leave marks. Do you think the OCM would help, whats your thoughts on Bio Oil, and/or using raw aloe? And is there any cure for white stretch marks and corns on your feet? Sorry for the boat load.
Hey beautiful one :) It’s cold out so my coconut will always solidify! I usually run it under hot water for 5 min and it liquifies almost immediately! As far as your face, use this DIY sugar/oil scrub to help you with stubborn marks (stop popping them!) as well as the Oil Cleansing Method to help detox your pores (so you won’t get anymore pimples to pop!). There’s no “cure” for stretch marks. The most you can do is keep your skin moisturized at all times. Never allow your skin to be super dry! That makes the marks break apart even more. Moisture keeps your skin tight. And use all-natural ingredients with tons of healing properties that will help the marks fade from the inside out. Either make your own or use some of these store bought favs. For the corns on your feet, try pouring some Apple Cider Vinegar into a bowl and soaking your feet for 20 min, then moisturize your feet with a mixture of Coconut Oil and Jojoba Oil. Do this once a week and it will slowly help repair the skin. What are you doing to cause them, though? You have to think about that so you don’t keep encouraging them to grow. Hope that helps!
Q:hey fran, I've recently started using the OCM with olive + castor oil. I was wondering, does the OCM help with fading acne scars? if not, what are some additional methods you know of to get rid of acne scars? thanks! :)
Hey :) It most definitely does! Pretty quickly and effectively, too. Did you watch part II of my skin series where I discussed DIY scrubs and face masks that are also extremely helpful for blackheads, acne scars and overall dryness? Watch here. Hope that helps <3
And for those who don’t know what the OCM (Oil Cleansing Method) is and missed out, watch here.
DIY | BLACKHEADS, BE GONE
Bye bye blackheads: Use a half lemon and 3-4 drops of honey. Rub the lemon on your face, especially in blackhead-prone areas like nose, chin etc. Leave the lemon and honey mixture on your face for 5 minutes, then wash it with cold water. You should see the results immediately. Additionally, lemon juice will also fade other marks/spots on the face and honey will moisturize.

Q:Hola fran! What are some benefits of using grapeseed oil as a face mosturizer?
Hola :) It’s odorless, which is helpful if you have any sensitivities. It’s really light, so you never feel greasy. It’s extremely effective for clearing up old acne scars and loaded with nutrients that are known to keep the skin tight (like a natural botox) for a more youthful appearance! Really dope stuff! And you only need a dime sized amount to moisturize your entire face so that bottle will last forever!

Healthy Beauty | Burt’s Bees Lip Care
I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Burt’s Bees team last night. Not only did they tell me they were huge fans of my DIY Beauty tips on YouTube (what!?) but they also gave me tons of awesome tips on how to make all-natural lip care with yummy scents, flavors and colors. It was way cool to have the opportunity to learn from the best. They’re hands down my favorite lip care company!
They’re launching a new all-natural line of glosses and balms next month:

These are all made with 100% natural ingredients, including Jojoba, Sunflower, Vanilla and Shea Butter. I love how they’ve mastered all of these colors, tints and shimmers without sacrificing our health. I was in natural beauty heaven <3
The wands in the top left come in 12 different colors and are priced at $8.99. The squeeze tubes come in 6 different shades and are priced at $6.99. The bottom left are tinted balms in 4 different shades and are priced at $6.99, as well. The last pic is of the lip shimmer that is already in stores for $4.99! These will be available at Target, CVS, Walgreens and most drugstores!
They gave me a cute bag filled with the entire line but i’m obviously not going to be able to use it all! I’m thinking a Hey Fran Hey x Burt’s Bees Beauty Giveaway. What do you guys think?
Q:You're a saint for all you've done in my life and the lives of all of your fans! Thank you so much for selflessly offering ways for us to revolutionize our daily routines and live a healthier life! Question: I'm doing the oil cleansing method with just almond oil, and I love it, but having already oily skin, my skin feels slick afterwards. Will using witch hazel afterwards completely undo everything I just did?
Hey :) Thank you so much for the kind words! It won’t undo the cleansing part but it will slightly undo the moisturizing part, since the witch hazel will remove any oil “residue”. If you feel your skin is already oily enough, though, that may be a good thing! And witch hazel is so awesome. Definitely try it and let me know how that works out for you!
Q:Hi Fran, first off i love your blog, its extremely helpful. But my question is do you know what to do if your pores seem very large and or visible, is there something you could do to shrink them?
Hey :) Thank you for the love <3 I have tricky pores, too. I totally get them from my mom (Hi mom!). What works well for me is using a dime sized amount of this almond oil, as both a cleanser and moisturizer, in the am and pm. As well as using this Aztec Healing Clay (also sold at Whole Foods) as a face mask once a week. You have a choice of mixing the clay powder with either water, Apple Cider Vinegar or Aloe Vera. I’ve tried all three and the Aloe Vera gives me the best results. Both of those methods, combined, help clear out, tighten and minimize my pores. You can watch how I use the oil here. And you can watch how I use the mask here.
Hope that helps <3
Q:Hey Fran, I was wondering if you might do video tutorials on two things: DIY toothpaste and a facial peel (similar to Queen Helen's Grapeseed Extract Peel). Thanks so much! So excited that a friend shared your videos with me. You're amazing and we appreciate you!
Hey :) I’m definitely doing a DIY toothpaste/mouth wash combo vid next month! As far as a facial peel, you can just beat an egg, squeeze a lemon over it, then apply it to your face for 15 min. Once it hardens, simply rinse it off with warm water. Then do a quick cold water splash to close your pores. It’s pretty amazing!
Thanks for the sweetness <3
