My face has been super oily lately and I truly think it’s because I switched moisturizers. Nevertheless, when oils attack I whip up this face scrub to get the job done. I usually will use it 2 or 3 times a week until my skin balances out.
I also add a splash or two of Apple Cider Vinegar to help with my skin’ PH balance.
What you will need:
-Juice from 1/2 a lemon (keep the lemon after you squeeze the juice. You’re going to use it to rub on your face before hand.
-1 1/2 tablespoons of raw cane sugar
-1 tablespoon of honey (to make this vegan you can use coconut nectar or agave nectar)
-1/2 teaspoon or so of ACV
Mix together well.
Rub the squeezed lemon (not the juice from the mixture) on your face before tossing it.
Apply the mixture of juice, honey, sugar and ACV on your face.
Let sit for 5-10 mins.
Rinse with cool water.
I usually don’t apply anything after. The honey leaves my skin pretty moisturized on it’s own. Do this 2/3 times a week until you feel your oiliness has calmed down. The lemon will brighten your skin and the sugar will rid any dead skin that was hanging out before hand.
Honey-Cinnamon Emolliant Night Mask
The temperature has dropped pretty drastically the past few weeks. I posted this Honey-Oatmeal-Rose Water Mask to help your skin stay moisturized, but there’s an even easier honey mask for you to try using only 2 ingredients total: Honey and Cinnamon. The hardest part? Trying not to eat it!
Why are we using Honey on our skin?
Honey is a natural moisturizer. It is also an anti-irritant; a preferred ingredient for those with sensitive and acne-prone skin. It will help you manage breakouts while also keeping your skin hydrated.
Why are we using Cinnamon on our skin?
Cinnamon has properties that may help the skin dry out acne while simultaneously stopping the acne causing bacteria
In other words, the combination of Honey & Cinnamon is the perfect tag team for clear and glowing skin! And don’t forget, honey is only one ingredient so make sure you read the label to avoid any added ingredients or sweeteners! Interested in trying the mask? Here’s how to whip it up!
2 tablespoons of Honey
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon
In a small container, add honey and cinnamon and mix until it forms a paste. Apply emollient onto face before going to bed and leave on for 30 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
Try it once a week for the next month and keep me posted on your results!

First time trying out the Thayer’s Witch Hazel and I gotta tell ya, it’s refreshing. Wish I could have gotten the Cucumber one but the Vitamin Shoppe only had this one for 9 bucks.
Thanks to Hey Fran Hey I finally found a toner and I hope it works :)
That’s sincerely the best toner/astringent. Ever. And you guys know I only cosign products I genuinely use and love. That will truly heal your ailments! I’ll do an updated video on how I use it, next month!
I’m glad you took your chance with it <3
I wanted to share this with you all because this has to be the best thing I’ve ever bought! Honey.
Not for what you think though! Not for tea or even food but for my skin . I use this as my only face wash, I pretty much threw every other face wash I ever had away because this is all I need. My skin is in the best condition, smaller pores, glowing, and acne free!
We got this idea from Hey Fran Hey’s YouTube video on how great honey is for the skin. (I’ll post the link below)
I dampen my face with a warm wash cloth and then apply a quarter size amount all over, then I wash it off w/warm water then cold or let it sit for a couple minutes then rinse off & follow with cocoa butter.
I got this brand from Whole Foods and its super thick but also has some natural exfoliators which is great for glowing fresh skin .

NEW VIDEO: DIY Oatmeal Rose-Water Honey Mask
I’m in my 30s and it’s pretty cool when people make that “Omg, whaat?” face when they ask my age. Aside from not eating processed food, I maintain my skin with tons of all-natural ingredients straight from my kitchen! This mask is one of my favorite concoctions. I swear by it once a month (especially during these colder months). Not only does it smell amazing but it’s super effective for acne prevention, anti-aging and super dry skin. The best part? It takes less than 5 min to make! Interested in trying it? Watch the video to learn how!
I hope you love it <3
