Natural Beauty: Nail Health
I’ve received emails asking about my nails in my YouTube videos. A lot of you wondered how I’ve managed to keep them so long. My nail health trick is pretty simple! To prevent the yellowing (from constantly painting them) and breakage, I massage each nail with either organic coconut oil (any natural oil will do) or the Shea Moisture “Organic Shea Butter” pictured above. Your nails need as much moisture as your skin and hair. That’s the step most people forget. Lubricate those nails with some nutrients! My second step is a protein base coat, for strengthening. I love the Essie brand pictured above. You can grab a bottle at your local Duane Reade or CVS. Once the nails are properly moisturized and then layered with some protein, proceed to add color. That way your nails are healthy and fully protected. Add the top coat as the fourth layer and you’re good to go! Create those 4 layers every time you paint your nails and you’ll most definitely notice a difference.
