Lemon, Apple, Carrot, Kale Juice
4 ingredients. I love simple recipes like this.
1 bunch of Kale
1/2 a kilo or 1 pound of Carrots
1 kilo or 2 pounds of Apples
3 unpeeled Lemons
Kale for mineral density - excellent for strengthening joints, bones and teeth. Carrots for grounding - great for relieving muscle strains. Apples for sweetness - fantastic for healing an upset stomach and Lemons for cleaning the GI tract while energizing metabolic and digestive activity.
Keep all ingredients fresh + Organic/Biodynamic where possible.
Drink within 15 minutes for optimal results.
There are 2 different types of juicers: Centrifugal and Masticating. Centrifugal are the ones you commonly see in stores and juicing posts/vids. It tends to be louder but juices at a really high speed! The masticating juicer (in the pic) is a lot slower, has a slow hum and calmly chews through your greens. The difference between the two types? The low speed and slow chewing motion of the masticating juicer preserves more of the nutrients and healing properties in your greens. So while it may take more time to make the juice, you also end up with way more health cleansing your body and blood. It also minimizes oxidation which means less separation and foam, so you can juice a bigger batch and it will still be fresh and last longer in the fridge (for those of you who don’t have time to juice every day). Just something to consider if you’re thinking of buying a juicer. This one is my Omega VRT 350. Pricey but an awesome investment towards even greater health.
